DatumPath

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 26, 2026

The Short Version

Your financial data never leaves your device. DatumPath stores everything locally and does not transmit, sell, or share any of your information with anyone — including us.

What Data DatumPath Stores

DatumPath stores only the financial information you choose to enter. This data is saved locally on your device using an on-device database and is never transmitted over the internet.

Information stored includes: income sources, monthly expenses, debt balances, asset values, emergency fund balance, retirement contribution details, and your app preferences (such as notification and Face ID settings).

What We Do Not Do

No data transmission
Your financial data is never sent to any server, cloud service, or third party. All calculations happen on-device.
No accounts or sign-in required
DatumPath does not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.
No analytics or tracking
We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking tools in the production app.
No data sharing or selling
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your data with any third parties.
No crash reporting
The production app does not include automated crash reporting that transmits data off your device.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in an on-device SQLite database managed by iOS. The database resides in your app's private sandboxed storage, which is inaccessible to other apps on your device.

DatumPath does not currently encrypt the database beyond iOS's built-in device encryption. Your device passcode and Face ID (if enabled) protect access to your device and its data.

Face ID & Biometric Authentication

DatumPath offers an optional Face ID lock that prevents access to the app without biometric verification. This feature is disabled by default and can be enabled or disabled at any time in Settings.

DatumPath never accesses, reads, or stores your biometric data. All Face ID processing is handled entirely by iOS and your device's Secure Enclave — a dedicated security chip that Apple controls. The app only receives a pass or fail result from iOS; it never sees your facial geometry or any biometric identifier.

Disabling Face ID in DatumPath Settings removes the lock screen. Your financial data remains on-device regardless of whether Face ID is enabled.

Deleting Your Data

You can permanently delete all data stored by DatumPath at any time. Go to Settings → Reset All Data within the app. This will erase everything and return the app to its initial state.

Uninstalling DatumPath from your device will also remove all locally stored data.

Apple & iOS Platform

DatumPath runs on iOS, which is governed by Apple's own privacy practices. Apple may collect device diagnostics, crash logs, and usage information as part of the iOS operating system and App Store independently of DatumPath. Please review Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Children's Privacy

DatumPath is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because DatumPath stores all data locally and requires no account creation, no personal information is transmitted to us by any user of any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if DatumPath's features change (for example, if optional cloud sync is introduced in a future version). Any material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
