DatumPath
Help & Guide
What DatumPath Does
DatumPath is a financial coaching tool that answers three questions about your money:
1
Where am I financially right now?
3
Where will I end up if I stay on this path?
DatumPath is not a budgeting app and does not manage your accounts. All data stays on your device. Nothing is shared or transmitted.
Your Financial Stage
DatumPath places you in one of six stages based on your financial data. Your stage drives your priorities and coaching. Stages are earned — they reflect your actual numbers, not your goals.
1
Organization
Getting started. Enter your income, expenses, and debts to unlock your personalized roadmap.
2
Stability
Cash flow is negative or emergency fund is below 3 months. Building a stable foundation is the priority.
3
Debt Elimination
High-interest consumer debt is costing more than most investments earn. Eliminating it is the highest-return move available.
4
Retirement Foundation
Debt-free with a funded emergency fund. Retirement contributions are below 10% — building toward a strong long-term foundation.
5
Wealth Building
Debt-free, funded emergency fund, and adequate retirement contributions. Surplus is available to direct toward long-term wealth.
6
Financial Independence
Savings rate and retirement contributions are at or above 15% of income. Strong long-term trajectory toward financial independence.
Financial Health Score
Your score (0–100) is a composite across five dimensions. It is not a credit score and has no effect on your credit or finances — it is a coaching tool to help you see your full picture at a glance.

Each of your top three priorities belongs to a category. The color accent on each card tells you what type of action is being recommended.

Actions related to reducing or eliminating debt balances and interest costs.
Stability
Building your emergency fund and closing cash flow gaps — the foundation everything else rests on.
Retirement
Increasing contributions to long-term retirement accounts to build compounding wealth over time.
Optimization
Improving cash flow through spending awareness, surplus direction, or income growth.
Reading the Numbers
DatumPath uses color consistently across every screen to communicate the nature of a value at a glance — no need to read the label first.
Teal / Aqua
Positive — income, surplus, net worth gains
Coral
Negative — debt balances, deficits, losses
Amber
Caution — approaching a threshold, needs attention
